There are ever increasing numbers of you (in France and abroad) who wish to follow the professionals over the routes of the Tour de France. This new cycling event has allow you to maybe discover a new region of France and test yourselves on a stage which has, in the past, created the legend that is the Tour de France.
For this first running of the event, the Étape de Légende started in Strasbourg, passed over a large part of the Vosges Mountains and arrived on the summit of the Ballon d'Alsace.

Requirements are not satisfied in order to organise the event in perfect conditions, so the Étape de Légende will not take place in 2008.
